Extended Hours and Special Programming

During the nearly four-week span of the 2026 World Cup, Mexico City's cultural offerings will operate with extended hours and special activities. The Ministry of Culture, through INAH and INBAL, has scheduled public venues to remain open from June 11 to July 5.

According to INAH's bulletin, the National Museums of Anthropology, History, and the Templo Mayor will stay open until 7 p.m. throughout the period. The lineup also includes Archaeological Sunrise experiences at Xochicalco, Tula, and Cuicuilco. INBAL's announcement details two World Cup Museum Nights scheduled for June 10 and 17, featuring activities across venues like the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the National Art Museum, and the Tamayo Museum.

A Nationwide Cultural Festival

The programming, branded as "Social World Cup," encompasses 281 activities across 11 states, including exhibitions, music performances, theater and dance productions, and tours of Mexican muralism. The Ministry of Culture's goal is to make Mexico's artistic and cultural heritage accessible to both domestic and international visitors during the tournament.

Interested visitors can check schedules, venues, and registration requirements on the official INAH and INBAL websites. The two Museum Nights on June 10 and 17 mark the beginning of a calendar that runs through the competition's closing.
